A Couple of Talented Locals Have Decamped to Worcester to Open Deadhorse Hill

Jared Forman and Sean Woods plan to open the new restaurant this spring.

Jared Forman, who recently departed Strip-T's, and Sean Woods, previously bar manager at Ribelle, have headed out west to open a restaurant called Deadhorse Hill in Worcester, according to their newly minted internet presence (TwitterFacebookwebsite). You can expect "New England, family farms, technique, salt, sugar, starch, fat," says the Facebook page, which doesn't reveal all that much — but a preview pop-up they're throwing soon tells a tiny bit more.

The event, which is taking place on February 8 at Cafe Manzi's, includes five courses, as well as cocktails and wine. On the menu, there are dishes like salt and pepper shrimp, a duck board, and a pork cassoulet. Forman and Woods' resumes also include restaurants like Craigie on Main, Per Se, and Momofuku.

Deadhorse Hill will open this spring on Worcester Common.
