Boylston Place club Stage, who has spent the past few weeks in soft opening mode, announces that they are ready to formally welcome revelers on January 16. According to Boston Restaurant Talk, the establishment circulated a press release today declaring their intentions to make it official.
The Stage website states guests will be transplanted to the "American vaudeville era of the late 19th and early 20th centuries" once they walk through the doors — though some recent Facebook photos of a Rod Stewart impersonator visiting the venue throw that timeline out of whack. Also at the nightclub for New Year's Eve were various furries, guys in horse masks, and sexy clowns. Guests can probably forgive the anachronistic elements if the drinks are strong. Stage is open Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. at 19 Boylston Place.
