Boston Burger Company opens its third location tomorrow, January 19, at 11 a.m., according to a post on Facebook that promises a "full bar" and the "same great burgers." It's in the former Dolphin Seafood space in Harvard Square, right above the relatively new Cilantro.
The restaurant originally opened in Somerville's Davis Square in 2009 before expanding to Back Bay in 2012, and later that year, the Davis location doubled in size. There was also talk of a truck launching over this past summer, but that hasn't happened yet.
Boston Burger Company offers 28 different burgers (or you can make up your own combination from a list of sauces and other toppings), along with chicken sandwiches, wings, salads and soups, and more.
Some of the burgers are not for the faint of heart, like the Killer Bee, which is topped with cheese, bacon, honey barbecue sauce, and a stack of onion rings right on the burger, or the Mac Attack, which is topped with macaroni and bacon. (That one has been featured on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.) There's also The King (peanut butter, bacon, fried bananas, cinnamon, and sugar) and perhaps the crowning glory of the whole menu, the 420 Burger (cheese, bacon, barbecue sauce, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, fries, and mac and cheese bites — all on the burger).
