Craigie on Main opened in its original incarnation, Craigie Street Bistrot, back in 2002. The 2009 move to Main Street brought a bigger space, a new name, and lots of other changes, but nowadays, the team is feeling a little nostalgic and looking to provide a special treat for longtime regulars as well as new diners: Throwback Bistrot Mondays.
From now on, every Monday will feature a menu of old classics from the Craigie archives. This coming Monday, January 19, the debut throwback menu includes a soup of Jerusalem artichokes with black trumpet mushrooms and roasted sea scallops; country duck pate with traditional accompaniments; white wine-braised pork shank with turnip, rutabaga, potato puree, and country mustard; dorade à la poêle with lentils du Puy, lardons, and red wine jus; and a classic bistrot creme caramel for dessert. The three-course menu is priced at $45 per person.
