It was a bit of a long road to approval, but European coffee chain Caffe Nero is opening its Jamaica Plain location today (8 a.m. to 3 p.m.), reports Jamaica Plain News. An employee at the shop confirms the news. When normal hours start up tomorrow, it'll be open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
The London-based, Italian-style chain has more than 650 outposts around the world, but this is just the second United States location. The first opened last spring in Boston's Downtown Crossing. A South End location is also in the works, and The Fort Pointer reports that there are also locations planned for Longwood Avenue, Fort Point, and more.
In addition to a range of espresso, Caffe Nero also offers blended ice drinks, smoothies, sandwiches, salads, and more.
