Booze-infused Allston tea spot Limoo Tea Bar has been shuttered since just before Halloween thanks to damage caused by a pipe bursting in the building. While the original intention was to open right back up a few days later, progress lagged as Limoo waited to for its insurance company to determine payouts. Yesterday, construction finally began, according to a post on Facebook, and the reopening goal is "shortly after February." There will be a new sound system.
Limoo had only been open for two months before the interruption. The restaurant specializes in spiked teas and shareable bowls of fruit-infused soju, along with "bao-based sandwiches," shawarma, finger foods, and a few larger entrees.
