Jakob White and Fernanda Tapia White will open Comedor this Saturday, October 4, reports UrbanDaddy. The married couple met while working at 51 Lincoln in Newton. Their new restaurant, which got a little help from a successful Kickstarter campaign, will feature an open kitchen and small plates that draw on both Chilean and American influences. "We're doing the Chilean flavors that you really don't see a lot of," Tapia White previously told Eater, "and we're mixing that with a lot of local flavors." She also expressed excitement about the open kitchen: "We want people to really be able to sit there and watch. We'll be doing cooking classes and everything right up front."

UrbanDaddy has the menu, which includes hot pickled duck meatballs, barbecue crusted lobster claws, provoleta asada, tempura fried brownies, and lots more.
