Arlington's The Meat House Relaunches Independently as PRIME

Previously part of The Meat House, a small chain of butcher shops, the Arlington location has parted from the company and rebranded itself. A grand opening celebration takes place October 18.

PRIME, which brands itself as "Your Trusted Butcher," was reincarnated over the summer, leaving behind its roots as part of The Meat House chain. Now, the store focuses on supporting local businesses by selling products from "more than 50 carefully chosen vendors," according to a press release. It'll also partner with local food and drink vendors for various events in the future.

PRIME's meats are sourced locally and grass-fed, and the store also carries a variety of prepared foods, groceries, and alcohol. Catering is available, including on-site barbecues.

There's a free, public grand opening celebration on Saturday, October 18 with specials, samples, and prizes at the store from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and a party in the parking lot between noon and 4 p.m. (featuring kids' activities, live music, and grilling).

PRIME is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
