Common Ground, a 17-year-old Allston restaurant and bar that came under new ownership a few years back, opens a second location in Arlington today at 319 Broadway. For the first couple of weeks, it'll be dinner only, starting at 5 p.m., but keep an eye out for lunch to begin soon. This location will be "a bit more 'grown up' and more geared toward the family demographic of Arlington," according to a rep for the restaurant, so Allston is probably still your best bet for 90s dance nights and the like. The Arlington location will have events like trivia night, paint night, and beer dinners.
On the menu: tater tots, disco fries, duck salad, veggie burgers, Guinness-braised beef short ribs, and more. The drink list includes beer flights (including some local options), dessert martinis, mocktails, and more.
Common Ground Arlington also has an event room that seats 104 and offers a private bar and various equipment for presentation needs. School and sports team charity events can book the room for free.
