A new restaurant, Mesoamerica Mexican and Latin Grill, appears to be headed to 402 Mystic Avenue, according to the agenda for a recent Somerville licensing hearing. A restaurant called Caffeten Salvadoreno is currently located at that address, right by the bustling new Assembly Row development.

The latter might be under the same ownership as Mesoamerica because a "Salvadoran Restaurant, Inc." was registered to Dina Posada — the same name connected to Mesoamerica — at 402 Mystic Avenue ten years ago.

The first Mesoamerica Mexican and Latin Grill opened just this past June in Peabody, and according to its Facebook page, the focus is "regional specialties of Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean." A single Yelp review mentions "scrumptious" Salvadoran tacos and declares the place a "hidden gem."
