Prospect Lounge, a planned restaurant and music venue for Central Square, has been in the works for quite some time. Earlier this year, it looked like the project was moving forward, but now, co-owners Marc Shulman and Patty Chen are having trouble raising enough capital, reports Cambridge Day. They're in danger of losing their alcohol, restaurant, and entertainment licenses since they're not being used, but the board has given them 60 days to search for investors, partners, or buyers.
Shulman and Chen, who also own Patty Chen's Dumpling Room nearby, are envisioning a "complete sensory experience" at Prospect, "electrifying Central Square's organic dining scene by striking a balance between the desire for healthy living and living on the edge," according to old posts on social media. Entertainment would include local and national acts most nights of the week and DJs on Fridays and Saturdays, and there would be brunch, lunch, and late-night dining options.
