Tonight, a 36-seat Medford restaurant might make your patty melt dreams come true. Snappy Pattys opens for dinner, reports UrbanDaddy, and an employee confirms the news, giving 5:30 p.m. as the time you'll be able to get in those doors. Nicholas Dowling, a chef from Franklin Cafe and Citizen Public House, is behind the place, where a "burger joint meets fine dining," according to the website.
On the menu: six types of patty melts, served on olive oil brioche made in-house; small plates, from shrimp on the barbie to ricotta gnocchi; and entrees, an ever-changing array of specials. Beef is grass-fed and free of antibiotics and growth hormones, and produce is sourced locally. There's also beer, wine, and cocktails, several of which are champagne-based.
