Instead of reviewing a new restaurant this week in the Globe, Devra First revisits two standouts from the past: Bergamot in Somerville and the original Ten Tables in Jamaica Plain. Bergamot "hasn't lost a step," she writes. It "maintains its comfortable elegance." Meanwhile, Ten Tables "feels less settled than it has in the past," but even so, "the restaurant remains one of Jamaica Plain's all-around best." [BG]
