Pig Roast at La Brasa; 3 Little Figs at Night

SPRING HILL — 3 Little Figs, a Somerville coffee shop that always closes at 4 p.m., is hosting its first-ever evening event. It'll be open from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. (or until sold out) this Friday, August 8, for "Cookies & Cream (and Coffee!)", which, aside from cookies and coffee, will feature brand new ice cream sandwiches and affogato, currently only available at this event (and any future ones) — not during regular business hours. It's the introduction of GoodFat, a house-made ice cream brand. The ice cream sandwiches will consist of a choice of three different types of cookies with "very vanilla" ice cream, and the affogato will be a hazelnut chocolate chip ice cream topped with Gimme! Piccolo Mondo organic espresso. The event is a response to frequent customer requests for evening hours, and it could lead to more events. [FB]
