For The Improper Bostonian, MC Slim JB reviews the relatively new Parla, a North End restaurant that "serves Italian cuisine that appears to have beamed in from another planet—or at least a future where food dehydrators are commonplace." Highlights include a baby octopus salad ("an unqualified success"), ramen noodle "carbonara" ("terrific"), and "a mad scientist take on s'mores" ("goofy, high-concept fun.")
