A tantalizing bit of expansion news comes via a tipster this morning: Tenoch is reportedly opening in early October at 378 Highland Avenue, the former Kickass Cupcakes space (before it moved further away from Davis). The popular Mexican restaurant, which hasn't yet confirmed the news, is based in Medford and expanded to the North End earlier this year. The company also operates a truck, Tenoch Móvil.
While Tenoch serves burritos, quesadillas, tacos, and other staples, it's the tortas that prove especially popular. Try the torta pastor: telera bread, pork in achiote sauce, pineapple, cilantro, beans, onions, avocado, and chipotle.
UPDATE: The rumor is true. Additionally, Tenoch will launch on trailer on Tufts University's campus after Labor Day, reports The Boston Globe.
