Assembly Row keeps sprouting new restaurants, from a second location of Ernesto's Pizza to a beer garden to giant chains peddling giant fried onions. (Each of those will open this fall or beyond.) Now, fans of the dearly departed Staff Meal truck can get excited, because the truck's co-owner Patrick Gilmartin will be serving "elevated street food" at River Bar, opening at Assembly Row in early October, according to a rep.

The restaurant will be the sixth Somerville venue for Ken Kelly, the restaurateur behind Brass Union, Foundry on Elm, The Independent, Saloon, and the Davis Theatre. Expect a large patio (with fire pits!) outside on the Mystic. Inside, there will be a regular bar as well as a "culinary bar" by the open kitchen. In a job posting on BostonChefs.com, the menu is described as "small" and featuring "thoughtfully prepared, seasonally influenced foods." Earlier this summer, the team offered a chorizo dumpling at a tasting event.
