Eat at Zoe's and Limoo Tea Bar Today

Chinese food for dinner. Alcoholic tea drinks and "Limoo pockets" afterwards. Here's your official reminder that there are two things opening today that you must visit right away. Zoe's Gourmet Chinese Cuisine, located on the Somerville edge of Porter Square (296 Beacon Street), is reopening after a long closure caused by the collapse of the building's facade. While the restaurant offers a huge array of Chinese and Chinese-American dishes, savvy diners pay particular attention to the fiery Sichuan and Hunan sections of the menu. A newsletter from the restaurant promises "better food, better service, and faster delivery" going forward, and the inside has been renovated.

Over in Allston, Limoo Tea Bar opens at 1032 Commonwealth Avenue tonight. Head over on the later side — an employee tells Eater that they're shooting for 5 p.m. or 5:30 p.m., but they're waiting on a few last-minute shipments to arrive. As the name somewhat suggestions, the tea bar serves bubble tea...with spirits. There's also beer and soju. On the food side, try a "Limoo pocket," pita-style or mon-tao-style, described as "handheld heaven for the brave." UrbanDaddy has a look at the full menu.
