Today, Eater National celebrates the life of actor/comedian Robin Williams, who died yesterday at 63, by recounting some of his greatest food-related moments on screen, from the food fight in Hook to the Heimlich scene in Mrs. Doubtfire and beyond.
Locally, South Boston's L Street Tavern landed in the national spotlight when it appeared in Williams' Good Will Hunting in 1997, although his character never entered the bar in the film. The bar released the following statement: "He was always kind and charitable to those he met during Good Will Hunting. He certainly put us on the map, as we have visitors all over the world to see the little corner tavern where they filmed the Academy Award winning film. He will be missed."
