Todd English's Beacon Hill location of Figs is currently closed for renovations, reports Boston Restaurant Talk, and there's no indication of when it might reopen. A sign on the door reportedly states simply that it's "temporary." English's last place to close for renovations, Isabelle's CurlyCakes, actually closed for good.
Earlier this year, the Charlestown location of Figs mysteriously stopped serving beer and wine for a time but has since restarted. The temporary license issue was linked to legal trouble related to one of English's other shuttered establishments, Kingfish Hall.
