Is There an OTTO Pizza Imitator in Spain?

Images: OTTO in Harvard Square/Rachel Leah Blumenthal; OTTO in Spain/Facebook

Eater Maine catches wind of an OTTO Pizza in Castelldefels Beach, Spain, which has the same logo as OTTO here in Massachusetts (and Maine, where the chain originated). Legit location or impostor? Seemingly the latter. OTTO here in New England lists no Spanish outposts on the website, and the Spanish OTTO doesn't have similar-looking pizza or a similar-looking menu. Furthermore, the menu at the Spanish OTTO has blatant rip-offs of other pizza chain logos as well, from Cici's Pizza to Pizza Ranch.

The Maine-based OTTO, for its part, has been criticized by Mario Batali in the past for bearing too much resemblance to his OTTO Enoteca Pizzeria, which has locations in New York and Las Vegas. The round logos bear the slightest similarities (mostly in that they are both round), but this Spanish OTTO appears to be a direct rip-off of the local OTTO. It has been in business since March 2013, according to Facebook.
