Back in September, the facade of the Somerville building housing Zoe's Gourmet Chinese Cuisine and Mixtura suddenly crumbled to the ground. No one was injured, but the two restaurants, which are just outside of Porter Square, have been closed since then to rebuild. Mixtura finally reopens tomorrow, July 19, according to a post on Facebook. The menu will include "dishes like Inca omelet, Salvadorian omelet, purple corn pancake, French toast, salads, sandwiches, natural juices, freshly squeezed orange juice, extracts, and more."
Mixtura will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturdays, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays. Zoe's, meanwhile, is not ready to reopen yet, although the administrator of their Facebook page likes to post messages like "Come in to our restaurant today!" In response to multiple calls this month asking about an opening date, a Zoe's employee kept giving the same answer: "Two or three weeks."
