The newish Parla in the North End launched weekly brunch service yesterday, and it'll continue every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The debut menu draws inspiration from The Great Gatsby, with the menu split into East Egg ("timeless brunch selections") and West Egg ("brunch done ostentatiously.") On the beverage side, there are elaborate boozy milkshakes, "The Great Mimosa Bar" (a bottle of champagne, served in a top hat, with two fruit juices), and other "classic" or "lavish" cocktails.
