Nectar & Green, a juice shop, will open this summer in the South End, according to an article in the Globe that highlights the shop's owner, Laurel McConville, among several people who have left other careers for the food world. McConville left her job as an elementary school teacher to start her own business, first gaining experience working front-of-house at Flour Bakery + Cafe for a year.
McConville has her juice menu, equipment, and signage ready, according to the Globe — she just has to finalize the lease. Her signature juice: grapefruit, kale, banana, and hemp.
According to the shop's Facebook page, the juices will be organic and "locally focused." Stay tuned for an address and opening date.
