A cupcake void was left in Beacon Hill when Isabelle's CurlyCakes closed recently, but today, a new cupcake shop opens in the same space — the sixth location of SWEET. The growing local chain also opened up a new shop a couple weeks ago in Chestnut Hill. The first four locations are in Back Bay (two shops), Harvard Square, and downtown.
SWEET offers a daily roster of flavors like red velvet and Boston cream pie, as well as a rotating set of seasonal specials. The spring menu is in effect through June 20, featuring flavors like chocolate-covered pretzel and mint chip. Next up, summer: pink lemonade, peach cobbler, and more. There are also vegan options on Mondays, gluten-free options, and "pupcakes" for dogs.
The new Beacon Hill store, located at 81 Charles Street, is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
