Here's a look inside the brand new sweetgreen in Chestnut Hill. The DC-based salad chain also has two locations in Boston proper: Fort Point and Back Bay. The newest spot is 1,813 square feet with seating for about 40 people at tables made of railway ties, and plenty of sunlight streams in through a floor-to-ceiling glass wall in front. The company strongly touts is sustainable business practices, and as such, this store (and the rest) features lots of reclaimed materials and LED fixtures. The food packaging is also compostable.
Sweetgreen offers counter service — including a station specifically for online orders — and an open kitchen displays baskets of fresh produce, much of it locally sourced. The Chestnut Hill location is open from 10:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. every day. Peek inside.
