Boston Indian Kitchen to Open in Back Bay

India Samraat closed in January, and now its Massachusetts Avenue space may be getting filled with another Indian restaurant, Boston Indian Kitchen. Boston Restaurant Talk reports the news via licensing info, noting that the named manager, Paramjit Singh, is also co-owner of Rang Indian Bistro in Stoneham, which has been open for nearly a decade. Sunil Yeruva, another owner named on Boston Indian Kitchen's Bizapedia listing, co-owns Rang, and a third owner on the Kitchen list owns Passage to India in Cambridge's Porter Square. The fourth Kitchen owner, Jaswant Singh, owns Monsoon Indian Bistro in Acton, which used to have a Maynard location as well. An old article about Rang Indian Bistro confirms the Cambridge and Maynard connections.

Rang, Passage to India, and Monsoon all share the same motto on their websites: "It's not about eating. It's about eating right." Each offers a menu that touches on a lot of expected Indian restaurant fare, from lamb vindaloo and chicken tikka masala to endless variations on naan and some tandoori specialties.
