It's been in the works for quite some time, and now the third outpost of El Centro will finally open in Belmont this Thursday, June 26, according to the Globe. The Mexican restaurant also has locations in the South End and Brookline. Earlier reports indicate that the new location will have 66 seats and a similar menu to the first two (including some Sonoran specialties from chef Allan Rodriguez' native state). Plus, there will be a full liquor license.
UPDATE: A rep for the restaurant says that hungry diners will have to wait a little bit longer. El Centro will not open this Thursday after all.
