Zoning Wire

vitos tavern fb.jpgPotential North End restaurant Vesuvio, a would-be sibling to Carmelina's and Vito's Tavern, is now 0 for 2 in neighborhood council support. The NEWRA voted against the proposed zoning change for a space at 420 Commercial Street; the NEWNC previously voted against it as well. Next, it was supposed to go to the Boston Zoning Board, which considers but doesn't always follow the recommendations of the neighborhood councils, but as of this afternoon, the landlord pulled the plan to revise and revisit in November.
