A two-part interview and video series on female entrepreneurial chefs ran in the small business section of The New York Times recently, featuring Ana Sortun and Jody Adams discussing the business.
Sortun, on what her next big project will be: "Something built around my husband's farm. I can't do what I do without my husband's farm. It's an impossible business to sustain and I want to crack the code on it so that we can keep doing it year after year."
Adams, on hiring: "It's most important to hire people who believe in the mission of the business. Skills can be taught on a foundation of passion and commitment. It rarely works the other way around."
