Moroccan Hospitality Restaurant Opens

It's opening day for Moroccan Hospitality Restaurant, which used to exist in a former pizza shop in Malden but debuts at 11:30 a.m. today in the former Razzy's space in Somerville. The address is 585 Somerville Avenue, located partway between Union Square and Porter Square. The restaurant is open seven days a week.

Co-owner Nouzha Gallay tells Eater that the menu will be a bit updated from the old one. A 2011 Globe review of the original Malden location praises the harira, a multi-grained soup "so nourishing you could live on it," as well as the "feathery" and "tender" couscous. (Critic Sheryl Julian "did not eat better couscous in Morocco.") Gallay owns the restaurant with her sister Amina Ghallay McTursh; they used to own a small restaurant in the Moroccan city of Rabat.
