Symphony 8, a restaurant and bar by Symphony Hall, closed over a year ago for renovations, but the licensing board isn't really a fan of closed restaurants hanging onto liquor licenses indefinitely. Owner Doug Bacon told the board yesterday that the process is taking longer than expected, reports UniversalHub, but he's looking to reopen this fall. The board will decide tomorrow whether to give him extra time or to take away the license. Bacon is also behind Shanghai Social Club, White Horse Tavern, and Last Drop.
