M.F. Dulock Still Wants to Expand and May Make...Pizza?

About a year ago, Somerville butcher Michael Dulock, proprietor of the nearly-two-years-old Spring Hill shop M.F. Dulock Pasture-Raised Meats, expressed an active desire to expand across the river. Now, he has locked down a separate location (it's at 97 Medford Street in Malden) to make prepared goods for the Somerville shop, and it's just the start of an expansion to "new locations in the near future," according to Boston Magazine.

But that's not all. That Malden space is a former pizza shop — and he can't just let the pizza oven go to waste, can he? Of course not. Prepare for "pizza party pizza...some sort of amalgamation between a New York-style and a Neopolitan-style," Dulock told the magazine. Details are scarce at this point — he hasn't started testing recipes and doesn't have a name for the place — but the pizza will probably be available Thursday through Saturday, possibly with some Sundays thrown in as well. Expect simple, classic toppings: "I am a pizza purist," he told Boston Magazine. "I don't want pineapple on my pizza." Look for a late summer or early fall opening.
