Il Casale Cucina Campana + Bar, the latest restaurant from chef Dante de Magistris and his brothers Damian and Filippo, opened last night in Lexington, according to a press release. The restaurant focuses on the cuisine of Southern Italy, including "closely guarded family dishes" handed down by the de Magistris' "Nonna." In addition to the regular a la carte menu, there are two family-style tasting options, which change daily: Fiat (four courses at $45/person) and Ferrari (6 courses at $60/person).
The 138-seat restaurant includes an 18-seat marble bar, and an outdoor patio will open soon as well. For now, it's dinner only, served daily beginning at 5 p.m. Lunch and brunch will start up soon. Here's a look at the opening menu.
