The Taco Truck (a New Jersey-based restaurant-and-truck chain) launched The Taco Truck (a Boston truck) in 2012, and now The Taco Truck (a Harvard Square restaurant with a "food truck-inspired design") will open this Saturday, May 31, according to a press release. Previous reports indicate that this will be just the first location of a larger Boston expansion for the company. It's in the former Felipe's space on Mt. Auburn Street; Felipe's, meanwhile, is reopening in the former Bertucci's space elsewhere in the square.
Head over to Boston Magazine to take a peek at the full menu, which is similar to the one on the truck, but there'll be seasonal specials and year-round elote — corn on the cob smothered with mayo, queso, and more.
The 40-seat restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. the rest of the week. A patio is in the works.
