The 'Top Chef' Watch Begins

Top Chef, earlier reported to be filming its 12th season in Boston, has apparently begun said filming. The Globe itemizes a few pieces of evidence, particularly various Instagram photos from host Padma Lakshmi, who has been hanging out with season 10 winner Kristen Kish. There's also a tweet from someone who thought she was going to a regular old event at the Museum of Science, but surprise! It was actually a Top Chef thing.

Over on Chowhound, at least one Lakshmi sighting has been documented — she was apparently at the Copley Square Farmers Market on May 16. Meanwhile, fans have begun begging the Twitter gods for invitations to Top Chef events. Stay tuned for more, and by all means, hit up the tipline if you have any sightings.

UPDATE: Multiple tipsters have written in to say that filming is taking place at Il Casale in Belmont today. Also, judges Gail Simmons and Tom Colicchio were spotted at a showing of the new movie Chef last night at the Revere Hotel.
