This is a cruel bit of news to share on a Monday morning since you won't be able to experience it for six whole days, but La Brasa, East Somerville's newest dining destination for wood-fired meats and vegetables of all kinds, has launched Sunday brunch. It lasts from 12:30 p.m. all the way to 5 p.m., according to the restaurant's Twitter account, so sleepy brunchers have plenty of time to make it over there. No word yet on what the menu looks like, but the inaugural brunch on Mother's Day included a whole pig roast. No reservations are accepted for brunch, according to the website (which, by the way, is the only place you can make dinner reservations — no phone reservations are taken).
In other good news, the restaurant is seeking a live entertainment license, according to the agenda for a licensing commission hearing taking place tonight. Hopefully the piano by the entrance will be seeing some action soon.
