It's opening day for Sa Pa in Cleveland Circle, the expansion of a popular Downtown Crossing spot specializing in Vietnamese-style sandwiches, pho, and rice or noodle bowls. The new location looks much like the existing one — lots of bright red and sky blue paint, embellished with black-and-white photographs of owner Ky Nguyen's family in Vietnam. Nguyen also owns Kingston Station, another downtown restaurant. Sa Pa is right in the heart of Cleveland Circle, taking over the corner spot that used to be occupied by a Thai restaurant, Bangkok Bistro, which reopened elsewhere in Brighton. The space seats 50, and beer and wine are available. The new Sa Pa is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Thursday through Saturday.
