After nearly two-and-a-half years of being in the works, La Brasa is now officially open. It's been quietly chugging along for over a week now, welcoming eager diners into the wood-filled space, but a Twitter post from last night announced that the "full menu" and "full cocktail list" are now available. "We're ready for you!"
La Brasa's menu is organized by animal — beef, chicken, lamb, etc. — and there are also snacks and vegetables. The tacos de carnitas are an early hit, and the mole-smothered roasted carrots join an increasingly large group of interesting carrot dishes around town (see also: Ribelle and Alden & Harlow.) While portion sizes vary a little bit, sharing is encouraged, and two people will likely be satisfied with a snack or two, a couple vegetables, and a couple meats. Dishes come out as they're ready.
Keep an eye out for the addition of lunch and the opening of the adjacent market, which will also serve as a CSA pick-up spot.
