Why Aren't You Eating a Deathwich?

Photo: WAN Convenience, Mission Hill/Foursquare

You could be eating a Deathwich from WAN Convenience, aka Al's Deli, at this very moment. After closing up shop in Mission Hill at the start of the year, owner/sandwich-maker-extraordinaire Al Niles reopened today — but over in Allston, at 172 Brighton Avenue. Back in the old location, he built up a following after beginning to serve sandwiches at his convenience store, a reaction to losing grocery business to a nearby Stop & Shop that opened up.

The new shop is open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. Here's a look at the menu, which includes sandwiches with names like Jerry Springer, Jessica Alba, and The Orgasm.
