Changes are in the air for Cambridge sister restaurants (that happen to be owned by two brothers) All Star Pizza Bar and All Star Sandwich Bar. As previously reported, the pizza shop will expand their menu to include a new vegan section; Boston Magazine shared a peek at the selection today. In addition to that, five other vegetarian pizza offerings, new meat pizzas, and an expanded toppings menu will be added. The new menu will take over on May 5.
Later in the summer, All Star Sandwich Bar will also be shaking up their menu, says co-owner Kosta Diamantopoulos, offering some healthier options as well as a burger menu, which will feature a "build your own" section. In the meantime, the Sandwich Bar will be running specials through May to celebrate "National Burger Month," a marketing scheme that sweeps the country each year.
Expansion is also in the works for the brothers as they are currently scouting spots for a new restaurant. This time, they're looking on the other side of the river and into Boston.
