A New J.P. Licks Opens; Late-Night Carnival Food

In today's Eaterwire, updates on Assembly Row, Fairsted Kitchen, and West Bridge.

SOMERVILLE — A number of Assembly Row stores and restaurants could begin opening this month, and J.P. Licks is leading the charge. The ice cream shop is now open, according to a post on Facebook. This weekend, the hours will be 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. The local chain has one other Somerville outpost — in Davis Square. [FB]

WASHINGTON SQUARE — For the month of May, Fairsted Kitchen's late-night menu is inspired by carnival food with dishes like corn dogs (with Smoke & Dagger mustard) and funnel cakes (with cinnamon sugar). Available Sunday through Thursday, 10 p.m. to 1 a.m., and Friday and Saturday, 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. [Official Site]

KENDALL SQUARE — If the weather cooperates, West Bridge will open up the outdoor patio bar tomorrow at 3 p.m. For now, it's only for drinking; you have to be inside or on the upper patio to get food. [Official Source]
