One of the owners of the shuttered Gargoyles on the Square in Somerville, James Conforti, has recently opened Piadina Café & Coffee Bar on State Street in Boston's Financial District. As the name suggests, the restaurant focuses on piadini — Italian flatbread sandwiches — and coffee, and it's open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays. [BRT]
