Grilled Oyster Wednesdays at Trotter; JBF Kitchen Cam

SOMERVILLE — Starting tomorrow, The Kirkland Tap & Trotter is introducing "grilled oyster Wednesdays," offering a rotating array of oysters ($2 each) and beverages from 5:30 on (until the oysters run out). Tomorrow, April 9, there will be grilled Duxbury oysters with kimchi dressing. Beverages include Guiness' Foreign Extra Stout ($7 for an 11.2-ounce bottle) and Dr. Fritz Briem's '1809' Berlinweisse ($10 for a pint-sized bottle) on the beer side as well as wines by the glass: Xerez, Valdespino 'inocente' Fino ($7) and Coteaux du Vendemois, Domaine Brazilier (Chenin Blanc) 2012 ($8). THE INTERNET — The James Beard Foundation recently installed a webcam into the kitchen of the James Beard House, and a local chef is making his debut there tonight; folks can tune in from anywhere to watch how it goes. Brendan Pelley of Zebra's Bistro and Wine Bar is serving a five-course meal focused on spring seafoods and white wine pairings. The livestream will run from 5:30 p.m. until dessert is served. [JBF]

CAMBRIDGE — This Sunday, April 13, the Royal Sonesta hosts the annual Boston Lamb Jam, which includes tastings of tons of lamb dishes by local chefs, including defending champion Michael Scelfo of Alden & Harlow. The afternoon event also includes plenty of beer. Regular tickets are $60, and VIP tickets (which include an earlier entrance and additional bites) ate $90. Buy online.
