Chacarero Is Back Down to One Location

Downtown Crossing lunch favorite Chacarero, purveyor of the eponymous Chilean sandwich, expanded to the Prudential food court just over a year ago, but it shut down on Friday, reports Universal Hub. "I've spoken with the owner," tweeted one customer. "Business was just not what they had expected."

The Arch Street location is still open downtown, serving up chacarero after chacarero from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays. The sandwich includes steak or chicken (or both) with steamed green beans, Muenster cheese, tomatoes, avocado spread, and a hot sauce. There are a few other dishes available as well, like empanadas, salad, various desserts, and breakfast sandwiches.
