The Taco Truck Brick-and-Mortar Could Open in May

Photo: Facebook/

The Taco Truck, a New Jersey-based chain of trucks and restaurants, launched a Boston truck in 2012, promising upfront that restaurants were on the way as well. As previously reported, the first will be in the former Felipe's space in Cambridge's Harvard Square; Felipe's, meanwhile, is moving into the nearby Bertucci's space. Now, it looks like The Taco Truck brick-and-mortar location could open next month, according to a job posting on Craigslist. "COME JOIN AN EXCITING NEW RESTAURANT BRAND COMING TO CAMBRIDGE THIS MAY!!!" beckons the ad enthusiastically, which also mentions that the company "will develop multiple locations in the Boston Market quickly."

While the menu appropriately focuses on tacos, The Taco Truck also offers quesadillas, chilaquiles, tortas, soup and salad, and sides, including fried plantains and rice & beans.
