DAVIS SQUARE — On Tuesday, April 29, Saloon is throwing a Jubilee Stomp in honor of what would be Duke Ellington's 115th birthday. For $45, guests can eat a themed three-course meal with beverage pairings. Prohibition-era dress is encouraged, as is dancing. The Lyle Brewer Trio will be on hand to play Ellington classics. SOUTH BOSTON — Tomorrow (Saturday, April 26), Stacked Donuts and Trademark Tarts are popping up at Lincoln Tavern & Restaurant, starting at 10 a.m. and running until they're sold out. Tart flavors will be Guinness float, maple bacon, and strawberry frosted; donut flavors TBD. [FB]
RED LINE — The Future Boston Alliance is hosting a bar crawl along the Red Line tomorrow night (April 26) to promote the new (trial) late-night T service. The first stop is at Savin Hill Bar & Kitchen in Dorchester at 9 p.m., the second is at Silvertone in Downtown Crossing, and the third is at OSushi in Harvard Square. Apparently there is also dancing involved between stops, according to the agenda posted on Eventbrite.
