Devra First drops a single Globe star ("fair") on M.C. Spiedo, the new Renaissance-themed restaurant at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel. She hopes for success from the team that was "ahead of its time" with Arrows in Maine, but M.C. Spiedo falls short so far. "A unique concept can make a restaurant stand out.
