Cafe Brazil closed in Allston about a year ago, and Peter Culpo, who is involved with Woody's Grill and Tap and Parish Café (and who spawned a Miss Universe), is opening a new restaurant in the space. Chowhound user Allstonian noted today that the new restaurant will be called Lulu's Allston.

The most recent estimated opening date on Lulu's social media channels was March 1, which didn't happen, but the website already has a menu posted. There are snacks like truffle tots and "Mexican Cheetos," soups and salads, burgers and sandwiches, and entrees like short rib mac & cheese and wild game Frito chili pie. Sarah Wade is on board as head chef, at least as of an October Instagram post; she's an alum of several hotels.
