An unhappy patron at Dorchester's Cafe 1221 allegedly (and bafflingly) threw either soup or periwinkle snails at a bouncer, Universal Hub reported yesterday, taking care to note that this was not an April Fools' Day joke. The bouncer "restrained" the patron on the sidewalk until police arrived, although police questioned just how the "restrained" man came to have "cuts around his forehead." Tomorrow, the licensing board will decide what to do (if anything) with Cafe 1221 as a result of the snail-and-sidewalk drama. [UHub]
